Vasilije Micic was a star of European basketball. The 30-year-old serbian player turned pro at 16, and have collected numerous accolades throughout his career. Last summer he decided to go to the NBA, to play with the team that owned his rights, the
Oklahoma City Thunder. Although the team is in great form, Vasilije's not having much action time. Nevertheless, according to his statements, this situation does not worry him.
"The most important thing is my current feeling, and my current feeling shows me that everything makes sense, everything has a reason," Micic explained.
"From the outside, for people who follow my career, maybe some things are not easy. But that's not important to me. Everything I achieved in Europe was not given to me. I had to work for it. Nobody gave me anything there. So that's how I learned it."
So far, Vasilije Micic has averaged 3.3 points, 2.4 assists and 0.8 rebounds per game in his first NBA season with the OKC Thunder, having played 25 of the 45 games played by the Oklahoma franchise.
Overall, the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2023/24 season is proving to be the franchise's best in many years. As of today, past the midway point of the Regular Season, the team leads the Western Conference standings with a 32-13 record.
