Houston Rockets young star
Alperen Sengun showcased his
class to legendary LeBron James in the recent fixture against the Los Angeles
Lakers.
The Rockets went on to secure the win on Sunday at the Toyota
Center (Houston) with a score of 135-119, largely because of the first two
quarters where they took a lead of 18 points.
In the match where a lot of established players were on
show, young Sengun showcased his skills as well. In a video that appeared on the
social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — Sengun managed to
escape James and secured two points for the team.
In the match, the 21-year-old was one of the star performers
for the winning team as he ended up registering 31 points, 12 rebounds and
seven assists. It was the second occasion in the last four games where Sengun
ended up registering 30 points or more for the Rockets.
Sengun is averaging 21.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.1
assists per game, an impressive return for someone who has not even turned 22.
His best outing this season came in the match against the Utah Jazz when he
helped his side in securing a win in the overtime after registering 37 points
to go with 14 rebounds and six assists.
