Serbia’s tennis star Novak Djokovic joined
Denver Nuggets
star
Nikola Jokic on the courtside during the night where
LeBron James registered history.
The 39-year-old became the first player in the history of
the NBA to register 40,000 points in the match on Saturday, an incredible feat
to say the least.
However, the spotlight was somehow taken away by the presence
of 24-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic who met his fellow countryman Jokic.
The night did not go as planned for the Lakers who were beaten
by the Nuggets with a score of 124-114 at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
It was their sixth consecutive win in the competition which left them third in the
Western Conference with 42 wins and 19 defeats.
The 29-year-old was the star performer for the winning team
as he ended up contributing 35 points to go with 10 rebounds and seven assists.
He was well-supported by Michael Porter Jr. who ended up contributing
25 points to go with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Jamal Murray also contributed
24 points with the help of six rebounds and 11 assists.
For the losing team, James was once again the standout
performer as he ended up contributing 26 points to go with four rebounds and
nine assists.
