Dallas Mavericks co-owner Mark Cuban is outspoken and proud of it. During his career, he has repeatedly said what he feels and has never backed down from a verbal back-and-forth with others
Cuban's latest argument revolves around him and conservative author Dinesh D'Souza. These two got into a heated exchange recently and it seems like it won't die down anytime soon.
It all started when D'Souza posted a video of a transgender man sharing his frustrations with the way that he was treated by his employer. D'Souza tweeted at Cuban, saying that the Mavericks co-owner should hire the transgender man to diversify his workforce.
Cuban then fired back at D'Souza with a lengthy response.
Cuban wrote:
"So this person wants to vent because despite thinking he was going to get hours at a job, he hasn't. You ever been in that position ? I have"
"Then he vents because he is living out of a car and is upset because minimum wage is not enough to pay the bills. Think you might vent because you arent making enough to pay the bills ? I have."
He then went on:
"They are obviously trying to be self sufficient and that is not nothing.
And you, rather than respecting the effort and the grind you want to judge them based on how they see themselves.
Who gives a f--- about how people want to identify. That's up to them.
I see a person who is trying to do the right thing and work and stand on their own
I respect him a whole lot more for what he is trying to do than what I have seen you do."
D'Souza wasn't done and he shot back, saying, "In short, you won’t hire him because you know he would be a pain to work with and probably sue your company for misgendering him. This is the point I was really making—that your position on diversity is all talk! You’re in it for the virtue signaling. Thanks for confirming."
These two have actually battled with one another online before. Back during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, D'Souza attacked Cuban for his support of BLM. Since then, they have butted heads multiple times and it seems like their dislike of one another is only increasing.
Cuban recently sold the majority ownership of the Mavericks but he still remains very hands-on in his position and will continue to drive the team forward. He will also apparently continue to argue with those he doesn't agree with.
