The
Chicago Bulls are not meeting the expectations right now. The Illinois franchise is currently in Play-In positions in the Eastern Conference with a 21-24 record, but the competition is wild, and the top teams right now are way better than the Bulls. That's why they want to shake up the market before the trade deadline. According to James Edwards of The Athletic,
Detroit Pistons has emerged in recent hours as a serious contender for his transfer.
All eyes are on
Zach LaVine. The talented shooting guard, who has struggled more than ever this season with injury problems, is Chicago's number one option to leave before the trade deadline.
James Edwards reports that the Pistons and Bulls have already begun negotiating to send LaVine to Michigan. As part of the deal, Chicago wants
Bojan Bogdanovic from Detroit and a player of the Pistons' own choosing between
Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren or Ausar Thompson.
The main problem is that Detroit Pistons considers all of those young players untouchable regarding their future project, especially Cunningham. However, Zach LaVine is the Bulls' best player, so they will have to let one of them go if they really want to acquire the 28-year-star.
Due to the number of games he has missed due to injury, which has caused his level to drop considerably, LaVine is averaging 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season after 25 games played out of 45 total for the Chicago Bulls.
