Paul George produced a remarkable performance as he ensured the
Los Angeles Clippers secured a much-needed against the
Oklahoma City Thunder with a score
of 128-117 in the NBA 2023-24 season on Tuesday.
The Clippers were keen to bounce back from a heartbreaking
defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves a few days back. On the other hand, the Thunder
also came into the match eyeing a victory after a defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers
in their last outing.
The winning side got off to a great start and won the first
quarter with a score of 35-30. In the second quarter, Oklahoma made a bit of a
comeback and managed to reduce the gap to four points.
However, in the third quarter, the Clippers once again went
ahead as they finished six points ahead and extended their lead to 10 points
which pretty much remained the same in the final quarter of the match.
The star of the show the Clippers was striker Paul George
who registered his best performance of the season and contributed 38 points for
the winning team which included seven rebounds as well. Eighteen of those points came
in the final quarter.
He was well-supported by the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Mason
Plumlee and James Harden who registered 16, 14 and 16 points, respectively.
Clippers will next face the Brooklyn Nets whereas the Thunder will
go up against the Utah Jazz in their next encounter.
