Philadelphia 76ers young point guard
Tyrese Maxey will
reportedly take part in the NBA's 2024 three-point contest.
The 23-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players
currently playing in the competition. Maxey is having a fabulous season which is
why he is selected for the NBA
All-star game as well.
NBA insider Chris Haynes has reported that before the All-Star
game, the Dallas-born will take part in the three-point contest. The event will
take place on February 17.
Maxey is having an impressive season on the court where he
is averaging 25.9 points per game, 13th-best in the competition.
Other than that, he has also registered 3.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.
In the team’s previous outing against the Dallas Mavericks, he
registered 15 points to go with a couple of rebounds and seven assists to his
name. It was the lowest amount of points tally registered by Maxey in the last
17 matches.
His best outing this season came in the match against the Utah
Jazz where he ended up registering 51 points including two rebounds and one assist.
It was the second occasion this season where he registered 50 or more points.
Previously, he
registered exactly 50 points in the match against the Indiana Pacers in December
to go with seven rebounds and five assists.
