The trade deadline is only 10 days away. The potential rivals to the Boston Celtics have already started to make some moves in order to upgrade their rosters. Should Boston proceed the same way? Should they remain in calm and not make any moves?. The president of basketball operations, Brad Stevens, have declared previously that they could be looking for a big wing. So let's check out some of the names that are there for the Celtics.
First it needs to be said that Boston payroll is pretty limited. This Boston management built a team for winning a championship, signing some big contracts. Therefore, although they have some assets, their resources are limited.
Note that players earning above the non-taxpayer midlevel exception ($12.4 million) cannot be signed by an apron team like Boston in the buyout market.
Standing at 6-7, the wingman from New Orleans is playing 18.2 minutes per game in 37 appearances for the Pelicans. He’s shooting 37.6% on 3-pointers, and he can play defense. He had to guard players like D'Aaron Fox and Paul George, with success in both cases.
The Pelicans are in good position for the Playoffs so they don't need to make any move. Boston could try to offer them a few draft picks to make them consider a deal.
The Hawks have underachieved this season, so they have been exploring deals for one of their stars, Dejounte Murray. Although Saddiq Bey wasn't part of any conversations, perhaps the Celtics could make a deal to acquire Bey's rights.
The small-forward had been struggling with his long range shooting lastly, but provides phisicality, size and overall help to a playoff team. His $4.6 million contract fits into the Williams Traded Player Exception and he’s available for a $6.5 million qualifying offer to reach restricted free agency this summer.
With the Raptors entering in full re-build mode, they will be up for selling off parts and acquiring valuable future assets. Young could provide experience, as a 36-year-old veteran who's been in the playoffs in nine times.
Young has great basketball IQ, and is also a versatile player that can play both big man positions as well. This feature could really benefit the Celtics, who can distribute the minutes load to preserve Horford and Porzingis.
His salary might be to expensive right now, so Boston should really try to buyout Young's contract if possible, after the deadline.
Another options that are interesting are:
Dario Saric from the Golden State Warriors, although they aren't considering moving from him.
Jeff Green, who's now in Houston and they need him there to provide his championship experience to a young squad that's trying to get into the Play-In.
Cedi Osman, Kelly Olynyk are appealing but expensive for Boston. Torrey Craig from the Bull's could be a 3 and D guy for a contending team.

For what it’s worth, Naji Marshall’s passing might be the most intriguing role-player’s skill in the league. Impressive passing versatility, good synergy with his teammates and has a true feel for the show. more on his game and flashy passing🎥⬇️
