The reason Devin Booker always shines in New Orleans: "With more than 1500 people here, you have to do something special"

Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker has revealed the real motivation behind his incredible performance in the match against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The 27-year-old was the star performer for the Suns as they registered another important win, this time against the Pelicans with a score of 124-111 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

The star of the show for the winning team was none other than Booker who registered 52 points to go with three rebounds and nine assists. It was the third occasion this season where the Michigan-born managed to register 50 or more points for the Suns.

Talking after the match, Booker revealed an interesting reason as the motivation behind producing incredible numbers against the Pelicans.

"I have a lot of family here,” he said. “They've been showing up and showing out since my rookie year. And over 1500 people here, you always have to put on something special for them."

The victory was an important one for the Suns as it still keeps them in the running to finish in the top six to avoid the play-in tournament. As things stand, the Suns are placed in the seventh position in the Western Conference table with 44 wins and 31 defeats.
